mchenry. everything flowing smoothly at the harbor tunnel. 53 just beyond 70. 11 minutes on the outer loop northeast side. 10 minutes to go north on 95 from 32 out to the beltway. here's a quick, live look at traffic. the accident is near caton avenue. two right lanes are taken up. blight in terms of volume because it is early. southbound 295 is starting to pick up in volume. we will keep you posted. that is the latest on traffic pulse 11. >> police investigating an overnight shooting involving an officer. it's a place after to e.m. on east lanvale street. the officer was not injured.

there will be a press conference later this morning. police are investigating a possible kidnapping in reisterstown. someone said their relative was kidnapped. police tracked down the suspect vehicle on 795 and found the victim in the trunk but unharmed. [organ plays] >> it doesn't really matter how they got there. the orioles are back in the post season. they needed a win and for the yankees to lose. the yankees got neither. evan longoria hit three home runs. the orioles still have at least

identify the officers involved in the death of a man while in their custody. jennifer franciotti has the story. >> we're learning more about the officers. police are releasing the names of the three suspended officers involved in the death of drug suspect anthony anderson. they are detectives gregg boyd, michael vodarick, and todd strohman. strohman is a decorated police officer. he was shot in november of 2010. sources say he had the most physical contact with anderson during that encounter. anderson died of blunt force injury. he suffered broken ribs and a ruptured spleen. anderson's family argued the autopsy results support criminal charges against the officer who had the hands-on contact. >> they said he was just faking because he didn't want to go to jail. that is not true. tony suffered on that lot. he was handcuffed and suffering and he died. we want these officers fired. we want them arrested. we want them convicted, because

if it was a normal citizen that committed homicide, they would be behind bars. >> the police unit is coming out in support of all three officers saying they handled that arrest by the book. gregg boyd has been sued in the past for excessive force. >> a rash of shootings in west baltimore kept police busy last night. the first happened in west baltimore on west lanvale street. about 10 minutes later, police said officers found a man shot on north fulton avenue. he was taken to shock trauma but did not survive. there was another shooting at liberty heights avenue.

can not looking like a cross between thurston howell and some sort of evil version of donald trump, somebody who does not care about the poor. he said he was pro-business. he wants to help the entire country and did himself a big favor. >> was his performance good enough to improve his standing in the polls? >> all of these overnight polls say that mitt romney won. did he convince people to vote for him? walter mondale schooled ronald reagan went on to lose.

john kerry won all three debates against george bush. it will take a couple more weeks of campaigning and a few more debates to see if the opening means romney is moving up in the polls. >> best and worst moments for each candidate? >> best for romney won a wanted to raise up tax revenue by getting people to work so they have more taxes to pay. obama said we have not heard specifics from romney. is because the specifics are too good? the specifics are bad news. obama had to explain why obamacare was good. he should be able to do that in his sleep. if he can explain why obamacare

is good, he is in trouble. romney said if that is true, i need a new accountant. to suggest romney needs a new accountant is something you could see any democratic commercial coming up. >> always fun to talk with you. police have identified three officers. some of the names are familiar. jennifer franciotti joins us live to explain. >> good morning. the three names have been released. one of those officers has been sued in the past for excessive force. local activists and relatives of anthony anderson rallied to call for murder charges against three police officers who arrested him on september 21. >> we are calling for murder

charges. we're calling for these officers to be fired. we are calling for an end to their paid vacations at the tax payers' expense. >> the officers involved have now been identified as detectives gregg boyd, michael vodarick, and todd strohman. strohman was shot in november of 2010. sources say he had the most physical contact with anderson during the encounter. anderson encountered the officers on this vacant lot near his mother's home. detectives moved in to arrest anderson after they caught him in a drug deal. >> they observed him put what they suspected to be some kind of narcotics in his moh in an attempt to hide them. they placed him under arrest for that and took them into police custody. he then started complaining about pain. it was believed that he may have been injusted some of the drugs that he had and maybe was choking on them. >> morphine was detected in his system. blunt force trauma is listed as

the cause of death. his death was ruled a homicide. the head of the police union believes anderson's injuries are consistent with the standard takedown maneuver often used to arrest a suspect who may be armed. detective gregg boyd was sued in the past for excessive force and a jury found him liable. jennifer franciotti, wbal-tv 11 news. >> thank you. maryland health officials are investigating a rare form of fungal meningitis. least 26 patients have been sickened. state health officials say they have identified two patients in maryland that might be linked to those injections and one has died. this form of meningitis is not contagious. the drug was distributed to the
